According to LEVERETT 1990, 207-209, and LEVERETT 1994, 160 this mass should be the "Missa brevis et expedita" (see also Bonnie Blackburn, s.v. "Gaffurius [Gafurius], Franchinus" in "Grove Music Online"). On the contrary Amerigo Bortone (AMMM 3, vi-vi) suggest that the "Missa brevis et expedita" is the Mass on f. 110v (see also Ludwig Finscher, s.v. "Gaffurio, Franchino", in "MGG Online", according to whom the "Alia missa brevis eiusdem toni" consists only of Gloria and Credo, and thus can not correspond to the Mass on f. 110v). Pending further studies, this catalogue keeps the titles as given by Bortone solely for convenience (as most of the studies published until now refer to Bortone's denomination).
